How to Change Your Screen Resolution in Windows XP..

  1. Right click on an empty area of the desktop (i.e. do not right click on top of any open browsers, windows, files etc)
  2. Left click “Properties”
  3. A new window will appear, select the last tab named “Settings”
  4. Slide the screen resolution bar left one notch
  5. Left click on “Apply”
  6. Review changes, if the sizing suits, then click on “Ok” and then “Yes”
  7. If the sizing does not suit, click Yes” then keep moving the resolution slide bar left until you find a suitable sizing, then click “Ok” then “Yes” again

Note: If after applying a resolution setting, your screen remains blank for a little while, do not press any keys or touch the mouse, your display will return to the last working resolution automatically in 30 seconds. This may occur if a selected resolution is not compatible with your computer monitor
